At RF our story is woven with family values and a commitment to excellence in transparent glass railing. Our journey began decades ago, in a modest garage in Carignan, Quebec, where we sowed the seeds of innovation. From there, we created our pioneering round pool glass fence, symbolizing our dedication to pushing boundaries.
As summer enveloped us, our enterprise blossomed alongside it. Crafting custom glass railings for neighbours, family, and friends, we forged meaningful connections rooted in our community-centric ethos.
These early efforts laid the foundation for RF Transparent's identity today—a beacon of quality, integrity, and personalized service in glass deck railing. Over the years, our family business has flourished, expanding to four branches and serving over 20,000 satisfied customers.
Our dedicated team is synonymous with excellence in glass fences, driven by a shared commitment to exceeding expectations.
This report outlines the installation procedure for a glass railing system supported by a top-mounted stainless steel spigot. It includes various installation options for both wood and concrete substrates.
The dimensions for the spigots are derived from reports provided by R.F. Transparent, specifically "Canadian Building Envelope Science and Technology" reports L23-1577-6770a-r1 and L23-1577-6770b. The bolted connections have been designed to meet the specified design load for the spigots and glass railing.
Additionally, the recommended configuration of spigots based on the width of the railing is as follows: for widths of 6” to 15”, one spigot is required; for widths of 15” to 72.8”, two spigots are needed; and for widths of 72.8” to 100”, three spigots are necessary.
